  Professor Van Haagen is a pioneer in the Neuro-Laughter Therapy (NLT) field. He is an inventor of a novel method of using laughter to treat neurological and psychological disorders. Dr. Van Haagen has discovered that specific patterns of laughter can stimulate certain areas of the brain, leading to improved mental health, pain relief, or even the regeneration of neural pathways. He invented devices that analyze and induce specific types of laughter and develop unique therapy programs where patients engage in “guided laughter sessions.”
